How to Manifest Based on Your Personal Learning Style

Sure, the Law of Attraction looks great when it works for other people but it can be really disappointing when you follow everything that your LoA guru has advised you to do and for some reason it’s just not working for you. I’m not sure how many times I’ve tried to use someone else’s model to manifest my desires and found that I just spent a lot of time doing what was right for the person I was watching and not what was right for me

Since I’ve researched many different methods of manifestation, I’d like to share what I think are the best ways to manifest based on your own personal learning preferences. Please understand that you most likely are a combination of these styles, and perhaps a combination of them all, but there are 2 or 3 styles that really allow you to hold on to information.

For example, I am a highly verbal (written) learner, but I am also a visual and kinaesthetic learner so I tend to rely on manifestation techniques that involve writing things down, reading them, and creating visuals using words. I use words as my main manifestation tool: writing them to have the kinaesthetic feel, scripting to release my manifestations onto paper, and then using vision boards for reference to my chosen words and images. I’ve learned that this combination is very powerful for me and that I need to be careful with the words I choose and what I write because it manifests so easily for me via writing and scripting. Since I’m a visual learner, I also tend to create ‘stories’ in my head and it’s easy for me to see my desired manifestations via meditative visualization. However, I am not an aural learner at all and often forget the things that people say to me verbally, therefore any spoken or listening manifestation techniques are lost on me. That’s not to say that a certain manifestation technique can’t be effective if it doesn’t align with your typical learning style, rather that it may not be as effective for you as a different method.

If you don’t know what learning style is closest to yours, you can take a quiz here: vark-learn.com

learning styles and recommended methods

Visual learner:
If you are a visual learner, you tend to absorb information well via images and spatial understanding. You most likely have a vivid imagination that is perfect for visualizing your desires in your minds eye, and you probably have a good sense of direction. For those reasons, these manifestation techniques will be effective for you in bringing your desires onto the physical plane:

  • Vision boards are an excellent method of manifestation for visual learners. Building a vision board is simply putting images of your manifestations, quotes, words, your own photos, and anything that makes you feel good onto a single paper or board and having it somewhere you can see often. I have made many vision boards with PowerPoint or Keynote and simply cut and paste images into a page. Then, I saved a screenshot of it and set it as my computer background or printed it out. Easy as that! It’s fun too, especially making a physical board and cutting and pasting from magazines.

  • Visualization via guided meditation or self-prompted visualization. There are many guided meditation YouTubers (Jason Stephenson being a personal favourite) who help you to create a space in your mind’s eye to allow the visual of your desire to show itself. Concentrating on the third eye (middle of the forehead) and rolling your eyes to the brow area will make your visualization supercharged and come into this reality even quicker. Once you are comfortable with following a guided visualization, it’s easy then to incorporate visualization meditation as you fall asleep or in your own mediation practice. Note: as you visualize, try to see everything as you acting it out as opposed to ‘floating’ outside of your body and visualizing yourself from the outside.

  • Have written affirmations in your space. I love to paint or write in fancy pens my favourite affirmations on thick paper and decorate it and leave it around my room so that I am reminded of my personal power and magic.

  • Images are also useful, of course. Set your phone background to the image that represents your desire, or just have images in your space. For example, set your phone background to a photo of piles of cash, and watch money appear unexpectedly in your life because this is what you’re training your brain to seek.

Aural learner:
If you prefer to learn by listening to lectures, audiobooks, and music, you are an aural learner. You probably have a good sense of rhythm, and you associate certain music with different emotions or memories. You notice how things sound, and are often humming a tune or tapping a beat. To manifest in a way that works well for you try these methods:

The Solfeggio frequencies and how they benefit our brain, with the corresponding chant. I did not create this image

  • Audio affirmations are your best friend, especially if they are played on a binaural-beat soundtrack at the desired Hz for you. These are also common on YouTube and you can find many audio affirmation tracks that include “I am” affirmations or wealth affirmations, etc., and these are often played with specially-tuned frequency to call in your desire. Alternatively, you can also record yourself saying your own personal affirmations and listen back to it on a loop as a powerful way of bringing your own manifestations into your daily life.

  • As mentioned, binaural beats are very powerful tools for aural learners. The solfeggio scale or solfeggio frequencies are specially-tuned beats that repair our DNA on a vibrational level and call in manifestations or desires and they are especially powerful when your brain is more receptive to auditory learning. There are six main frequencies each with a different purpose: 396Hz to release fear, 417Hz to ease and initiate change, 528Hz to heal and repair DNA, 639Hz to heal relationships, 741Hz to find creativity and solutions, and 852Hz for spiritual homecoming. Specifically for the LoA, the 432Hz frequency (which is associated with the crown chakra) is used to release blockages and allows your manifestation to come into your life smoother because you become more in tune with the universe. There is a lot of engaging information on the use of sound frequency in manifestation and general spirituality, I recommend you read further with:

  • Subliminal messages in these audios is also useful. They’re whispered affirmations that are so quiet, only the subconscious brain picks up on it and thus you can go about your day. Beware though to only use binaural beats/meditations with subliminal messages that are popular, highly reviewed, or be someone you trust. There may be people who upload subliminals that do more harm than good, so it’s best to listen to the audios that are popular and reviewed well. This is one of the few times that checking the comments section on YouTube is beneficial.

  • Listening to audiobooks is another powerful way for aural learners to motivate themselves to believe in the power of manifestation. Listening to others stories or teachings of the LoA via audio allows for strong and direct absorption of the information in the book/piece.

Linguistic/verbal learner:
If you’re a linguistic or a verbal learner, you enjoy using words in speech and/or writing as a way of absorbing information. You likely find it easy to express yourself through speech or written words, and you know the meaning of many words and you incorporate new words into your daily life with ease. You also may enjoy debating, writing poetry and using acronyms to remember new phrases or ideas. I am someone who relies heavily on written word to learn and thus to bring my manifestations into my reality and these are all methods I’ve found to be very effective:

Using a manifestation crystal like citrine is very powerful for a physical learner to be reminded of their manifestations and thus engrain it into the brain to bring it into reality.

  • Written affirmations. This is simply just writing affirmations that help you to call in what you want. For example, when I wanted to attract new opportunities, I wrote in my journal, “I’m a magnet for my own good, the right people, opportunities and experiences are seeking me out and I attract them with ease and grace.” You can essentially write anything that feels good for you, but if you are going to write your exact manifestation, make sure that it is in the present or past tense never future. Future insinuates it’s not in your reality, and the universe will reflect that back to you. The energy that you give out, comes back to you. For example, a well-rounded affirmation if you want the new iPhone would be: “I’m so happy I have the new iPhone 11, I love the photos it takes and how smooth it feels in my hands. It came to me in the perfect way and in the perfect time.” You’ll want to add something like “in the perfect way,” or “with grace” or “the right people/etc” so that your affirmations only attract positive resolutions and manifestations. You may also write timelines, but just prepared for them to be looser than you want. For instance, I often put my manifestations down to the general month and if I wanted an iPhone within a certain time I would say “I’m grateful I received my new iPhone 11 in January 2020 in a perfect way.” This doesn’t work for everyone and it’s best to not control the time as much, but once you have practice with manifestation overall it’s quite useful.

  • Once you have your affirmations, it’s powerful for you to simply read them out loud to yourself. If you can, memorize a few lines that really stick out to you and try to repeat them aloud when you’re in the shower or on your way to work. I have some saved as my phone background so that I see the words all the time and they repeat in my head that way because I read them a lot without thinking about it.

  • It’s also useful to talk to others about the LoA. You can be explaining it to them or sharing experiences, but it will be helpful to get your manifestation brain into gear by activating that part and then absorbing that and feeling inspired. If I’m off track or too “plugged in” to daily life, it helps me to just talk about the universe or energy and then I’m reminded of my manifestations again.

  • Reading motivational books or blog posts/success stories is like a sponge absorbing information for the verbal learner. Reading and research of other peoples’ methods help you to get creative with your manifestations, as you can incorporate parts from here and there to create your own unique method.

  • Watching YouTube videos is of course helpful as well.

  • Scripting is perhaps the most important and most impactful personally for me. Scripting is essentially “scripting” a journal entry of how you want your life to be going by a certain date. For example, if I want a job by the end of the winter, I would write in my journal: “15 March 2020, I’m so happy that I’m loving my new job! I’m really glad I was patient and let everything be figured out in perfect time. I enjoy working with my colleagues and my work is exactly what I’m good at. I’m getting paid more than enough money and I really enjoy what I’m doing. I’m planning a beach vacation next weekend! Thank you, Universe/God/etc.” I have used this method for a number of major events in my life, but I will go into more detail about that later on. Regardless, this method works well for me which doesn’t mean it’ll do the same for you. The point of all this is to try them out and see what works for you! I do know that this works well for many people though.

    Kinaesthetic/Physical learner:
If you’re a kinaesthetic learner, you probably like to play sports or an instrument and you tend to work out problems in your head while you’re going for a jog or a walk. You’re sensitive to the physical parts of the world like texture and feel, and you fidget if you’ve been sitting too long. You remember movement and how things “feel” as opposed to how it sounds. With this, it’s important to get the body and feeling involved with your manifestation, which can be done in a number of ways.

  • Vision boarding is also really effective for the kinaesthetic learner, especially if you are cutting and pasting onto a physical board with your hands. Pasting each image down yourself and looking for them yourself imprints a powerful image into your mind and body, attracting the images into your real life without your knowledge.

  • Imagining how your manifestations would physically feel is also important to a physical learner. It helps to mediate on how your new house would feel from the inside: how cold are the floors? What does the fridge feel like to open? Is the bed soft? This triggers your brain to attract these experience into your life.

  • Acting “as if” is an effective way for physical learners especially to call in their manifestation. This is not more complicated than it sounds — it is simply acting as if your desires have already manifested in your life and providing the space for them as such. For instance, if I am trying to manifest a romantic boyfriend, I will make space for them by clearing out a drawer of clothes for him to put his things, I’ll buy small gifts like a men’s t-shirt or cologne, and feel how it feels to have someone support me. Alternatively, if I’m manifesting a job, I’ll buy new pens or something that I would need for that job and start prepping for the work. This is very similar to scripting, but the physical act of making the space for your manifestation and getting ready for it, allows the physical learner to entirely feel what it will be like when you align with your desires and thus internalize it and work with your higher self to bring it to fruition.

  • Meditative walks or runs allow you to think on your manifestation and your endorphins will have you feeling good, so that you will associate your manifestation with feeling good. I’ll often pretend I’m running in another country if I’m trying to travel, or that I’m going home to my boyfriend after if I’m manifesting a relationship.

  • Have a crystal/item as a totem to represent your manifestation or to raise your vibration. This will give your manifestation a physical place in your life, and by touching the object, you’ll be reminded of your manifestation and thus think it and attract it into your life. This can be especially charged if you choose a manifestation crystal like citrine or orange carnelian to be the totem that triggers you to attract your manifestation. Or, a crystal that has to do with what you want to manifest such as rose quartz for love or lapis lazuli for psychic development.

  • The two cup method is kind of more new-age, and it involves using two cups of water. It’s based on Dr. Emoto’s study about water reacting to the emotions it’s surrounding and absorbing this physically; essentially “charging” the water with your intent or manifestation. I mentioned that the two-cup method is based on this, because it has more to do with “quantum jumping” into your desired reality via water charged with intent. Since we are made of water, the charge then becomes a part of us. You take one clear glass cup of water and label it with your current situation that you want to change like “broke, need job” and then label and second clear glass cup (with no water yet) with your desired situation such as “money from multiple sources, wealthy, financially free.” Take note of what you see and how you want to feel with your new situation. Then, with intent, pour the water from the ‘undesired’ cup into the ‘desired’ one and reflect on the good feeling that your desire will bring you. Charge your water with positive intent, and then drink it and feel gratitude toward the universe for bringing this to you as soon as divinely possible. This involves many physical motions and would be effective for physical learners.

  • Another method is to say your desired manifestation out loud and repeat affirmations in the mirror to yourself. As you use the mirror, reflect on how it feels to say and how it would feel saying it as your current reality. Look yourself in your eyes and move with confidence. Convince yourself!

  • In my research I’ve also found the following learning styles, but because they are almost always coupled with one of the above styles, I chose not to focus on them. Still, they are relevant in enhancing the core learning styles. For instance, if you’re a physical and solitary learner, you can go for a solo jog while listening to an audio of your own affirmations as your manifestation method.

    Logical/mathematical learner:
If you’re someone who’s more drawn to numbers and systems rather than words, you are a logical or mathematical learner and you require reason and systems to understand something. If this is the case, I recommend that you research the physics of manifestation and thought vibration and become familiar with the system that the Law of Attraction operates from. Some relevant authors to read are Dr. Joe Dispenza and Bruce Lipton. It will also help you to say/write/listen to (depending on your core learning skills) your affirmations in a way that’s logical and believable to you.

    Social/interpersonal learner:
If you’re extroverted and you learn well in groups or with other people, you are a social learner. Of course, the core learning styles can be done in groups or alone if done in different ways, but one particularly effective method for this group is to join a mastermind. A “mastermind” is a concept invented by Napoleon Hill which is a peer-to-peer mentoring group of likeminded individuals who coach each other in Law of Attraction based methods. The point is to work together to create total harmony and put minds together to create thought connection and thus connection with the divine to live your life as fully as possible. There are many mastermind groups on Facebook, and some you subscribe to and join a mastermind with a well-known coach at the head of it. They’re powerful ways to channel collective thought towards the highest good. This can be done in other Facebook groups and on Instagram, or just by discussing LoA with friends and family.

    Solitary/intrapersonal learner:
Opposite the social learner, the solitary learner would rather work alone or self-study. This is easily done in combination with any of the core learning style manifestation methods, just done from the comfort of a quiet place. I am a solitary learner, but it is important also for me to communicate with likeminded people by speaking about the LoA in groups on Facebook (conversing online is a nice way to solitarily be social) or with close friends. All in all, there are many different methods of manifestation, and some will work better than others for you. What works for me, might not work for you, and so I hope I have provided enough options for you to explore and create your own personalized manifestation technique that is exactly perfect for you.

Let me know what ones work for you, and happy manifesting!

Remember: the universe has no other option than to reflect back the energy you are giving off, so regardless of your manifestation technique, hold on to the energy of your desire and how it makes you feel (content, satisfied, secure, etc.) in order to call it into your daily life.

    Thanks for reading!
